Member Spotlight: Trueclaim.ai Utilizes CIECA Standards Throughout Claims Process to Ensure Seamless Data Exchange

In 2021, Trueclaim.ai was founded by Elie Lloyd, a software engineer specializing in artificial intelligence (AI). The Montreal, Canada-based company focuses on creating solutions for body shops that allow them to save time, reduce overhead and create transparency in their claims using artificial intelligence (AI). In addition to Lloyd’s experience with cutting-edge technology, he has a rich family history in the car repair and body shop industry.

Lloyd recently shared information about how Trueclaim.ai uses CIECA Standards in its business.

Q: How is the company currently using CIECA Standards?

A: Truclaim.ai integrates CIECA Standards throughout the entire claim handling process. This includes First Notice of Loss (FNOL), Assignment, Estimate Generation and Procurement. By doing this, we are able to ensure seamless communication and data exchange between different parties involved in the claim lifecycle.

Here’s a breakdown of how we utilize CIECA Standards at each critical stage:

First Notice of Loss (FNOL):

When an accident is reported, Trueclaim.ai uses CIECA Standards to capture and transmit essential data accurately. This includes details about the incident, vehicle and involved parties, ensuring all stakeholders receive consistent and comprehensive information from the start.

Assignment:

When assigning tasks to various service providers (e.g., tow trucks, repair shops, insurers), Trueclaim.ai employs CIECA standards to streamline the assignment process. This guarantees that all assignments are communicated clearly and efficiently, reducing delays and misunderstandings.

Estimate Generation:

Trueclaim.ai also uses CIECA standards to generate repair estimates. By standardizing the data format and exchange protocols, we are able to ensure that the repair estimates are accurate, consistent and easily understandable by insurers, repair shops and other involved parties.

Procurement:

During the procurement of parts and services, Trueclaim.ai leverages CIECA standards to facilitate smooth transactions and communications between suppliers and repair facilities. This helps in maintaining transparency and efficiency in the supply chain, ultimately speeding up the repair process and improving customer satisfaction.

Q: What are the benefits of using standards and how have you found them helpful when communicating with the other segments of the industry?

A: The main benefit of using CIECA Standards is the ability to integrate with providers of different services with minimum (or no) prior customization, also known as ‘PlugnPlay.’ This improves the body shops’ experiences by giving them the freedom to choose preferred providers without having to worry about technical issues.

By adhering to CIECA standards, Trueclaim.ai enhances interoperability, reduces errors and improves the overall efficiency of the claim handling process. This commitment to industry standards enables us to provide a more reliable and effective service to our clients and their customers.

Q: What is the importance of getting involved to help improve the CIECA Standards?

A: As a current member of CIECA’s AI Committee, I feel it is very important to get involved in CIECA’s Committees because it helps new technology, such as AI, to integrate seamlessly without having to worry about underlying infrastructure.
