CIECA Staff

The CIECA Staff carry out the day-to-day operations of CIECA under the guidance of the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.

Executive Director

Paul Barry

Paul Barry is CIECA’s Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer.  He has more than 35 years in the insurance and technology industries.  Over the last 20 years he has held executive / senior leadership positions with a focus on claims and auto repair technology.  Paul has held senior leadership positions with SAFECO Insurance, PerformanceGateway, ClaimsTech Consulting and PEMCO Insurance. Paul has been an active member of CIECA having previously served on the Board of Trustees and held the positions of Secretary, Treasurer and Vice Chair of the CIECA Executive Board.  Barry grew up in upstate New York and attended the State University of New York at Buffalo where he earned a degree in Economics.  He also has a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Claims.

Technical Project Manager

Paulette Reed

Paulette Reed is CIECA's business analyst/technical project manager.  She is responsible for coordinating and managing CIECA’s committee meetings and activities as well as the documentation  of CIECA Standards.   For the past 25 years, Reed was a member of the ARMS® technical team at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Throughout her career, she has worked on projects that used the CIECA Standards.  Reed began her career at Enterprise Rent-A-CAR as an software engineer where she worked on several EDI (Electronic Data Exchange) projects. She later moved to the roles of business analyst and software analyst where she created functional specs and estimates for her internal team and customers. Over the years, her projects have included managing rentals for insurance companies, dealerships and body shops. 

Marketing Director

Stacey Phillips

Stacey Phillips began helping CIECA with marketing and communications in 2017. She is an award-winning writer and editor based in Southern California. As the owner of Radiant Writing & Communications, she specializes in providing content and digital marketing for the collision repair industry. Over her career, she has written for a wide range of industries including oil and gas, engineering, and health and wellness. Her expertise includes writing magazine and news articles, blogs, press releases, website copy and social media posts.  Stacey is the co-author of two books: "The Secrets of America's Greatest Body Shops" and "In Balance; an Account of Alberta’s CA Profession, 1910-2000.” Over her career, she has interviewed automotive celebrities and industry influencers such as Jay Leno, Dave Kindig, Chip Foose, Henrik Fisker, Courtney Hansen and Dave Ankin.  Stacey holds a BA in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Southern California and wrote an Honors' Thesis in Environmental Politics.
