Alexa Holly Inc., established in 2019 and a new CIECA member, focuses on creating apps, including Rocketpros Lite and Rocketpros, that automate the collision repair shop management experience for staff and customers. The company also assists small- and medium-sized businesses across multiple industries.
CIECA talked to Myles Chaput, the senior developer at Alexa Holly Inc., about the company’s use of CIECA Standards.
What can you share about CIECA Standards?
We are currently using BMS Standards and plan to evaluate the use of APIs as they become available. Currently, the main limiting factor I see is that there is no way to interact with some of the estimating software. You can easily export the information and use it, but getting the information to be bidirectional would really open up a lot of areas for automation.
Can you share an example of how Alexa Holly Inc. is using CIECA Standards?
Our product, Rocketpros Lite, uses an innovative approach to estimate analysis and Realized Parts Savings (RPS) tracking and is revolutionizing the use of BMS in the auto body industry in our region. Our clients have reported significant improvements in their operations and profitability since implementing our system.
Rocketpros Lite integrates seamlessly with BMS through our one-click export feature, which allows for efficient data processing and streamlined workflows. This integration is a key component of our comprehensive suite of tools designed to maximize profits and optimize estimates for auto body shops.
Our platform offers several BMS-related processing features:
1. Estimate Analysis: Our built-in estimate analysis function works with BMS data to provide accurate and detailed insights and advice for capturing all estimatics that Manitoba Public Insurance allows.
2. RPS Tracking: We offer Realized Parts Savings (RPS) tracking, ensuring every part is accounted for with precision. We believe this is a Manitoba Public Insurance specific criterion, but we are open to adapting our system to any other insured that adopts the RSP model.
3. AI Chat: This component is used with estimating standards and is great for new estimators who have questions.
4. Cloud-Based Access: Our system allows users to access their data wherever they are working, enhancing flexibility and productivity.
What is the importance of using industry standards?
It is important for sure. Without the BMS standards in XML format, there would be little possibility of getting information across the cloud to our other automation platforms. They are very consistent and reliable.
In order to maintain the health of the format, all companies currently using it should support the CIECA mandate with an annual membership.
