CIECA announced that the next CIECA Webinar will be held on Thursday, August 29 at 11 am PT/1 pm CT/2 pm ET: “Curiosity Lab: Where Emerging Technology is Tested and Demonstrated.”
The one-hour live broadcast will feature Seth Yurman, the assistant city manager for the City of Peachtree Corners in Georgia. Yurman is also responsible for the development of Curiosity Lab, a 5G-enabled living laboratory in Peachtree Corners for startups and established companies to deploy and prove out developing technologies.
During the webinar, Yurman will explore the origins and uniqueness of Curiosity Lab, a premier testing and demonstration facility for emerging technology.
Topics include:
- How companies in the auto, connectivity, public safety, mobility, electric vehicle (EV), and 5G sectors collaborate to advance and scale up their tech hardware and software to enter the U.S. and other markets,
- Curiosity Lab’s value proposition to the tech industry and specific use cases that have been tested at the lab,
- A spotlight on Curiosity Lab’s partners and their impact on the facility, and
- How to become a user or partner with the lab to advance technology to the next level.
All collision industry stakeholders, including CIECA members and non-members, are invited to attend.
Yurman has been with the City of Peachtree Corners since July of 2019 and brings over 20 years of development, local government, environmental, and leadership experience. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Natural Resources from the University of Georgia, and he previously served as the Jacobs Project Manager for Peachtree Corners. Yurman is currently responsible for the city’s land development program, facilities maintenance, strategic planning, and economic development for Curiosity Lab and the city.
