Vaultoniq has joined CIECA as a Corporate Member. Founded by Tom Zoebelein in 2022, Vaultoniq is a sister company to Stratosphere Studio and Capture the Keys.

“Vaultoniq software is a management system built for body shops to help eliminate the communication breakdown between customers, insurers and employees,” explained Zoebelein. “It centralizes all customer and insurer communication and stores data, estimates, photos, invoices, OEM procedures, measurements, scans, authorizations and more in each customer record.” 

The software also utilizes an AI-powered Siri or Google function.

Zoebelein has been involved with additional businesses in the collision repair industry since 2011, including the National Auto Body Council (NABC). He worked with CIECA over a decade ago and helped coordinate videos for the organization.

With the launch of his new company, Zoebelein said he is looking forward to being involved with CIECA and having Vaultoniq software communicate with the industry management systems.

“I don’t think you can build collision industry software without CIECA Standards,” he said.

Adcock said their team often asks customers to share estimate and repair information to help them repair vehicles properly and ensure critical safety systems work as intended.

Origami Risk has become a CIECA Corporate Member. Established in 2009, the company provides integrated software as a service (SaaS) solutions for insurers, managing general agents (MGAs), third-party administrators (TPAs), brokers and others across the insurance value chain. 

Brian Atencio, technical product manager at Origami Risk, said Origami Risk was founded by industry veterans who recognized the need for risk management information system (RMIS) technology that was more configurable, intuitive and scalable.

“Having a core standard across various vendors makes integration faster and easier for all involved,” he said. “Developing our base integrations based on CIECA standards allows us to have the right foundation up-front and be well-positioned to integrate with other members in the future.”

Auto-Motive Protection (AMP) Bureau has become a CIECA member. AMP Bureau is a consumer advocate organization formed to protect consumers and the resale value of their vehicles after a collision repair. Established in 2014, the company is the result of an amalgamation of National Transferable Lifetime Warranty Bureau (NTLW) and AMP Global.

Ryan Taylor, president of AMP Bureau, said the company works closely with OEMs and VIN sites to help certified collision repair facilities in the United States, Canada and Australia add value to their certifications. The certified facilities must meet stringent guidelines to be members of the program.

AMP Bureau learned about CIECA through its longtime partnership with Entegral.

“We joined CIECA to ensure our data standards match with the other systems in the marketplace,” said Taylor. “I think standards are so important to the collision industry because they really align everybody.”

He said that companies often find they are going in 100 different directions.

 “CIECA Standards are an easy way to align everybody and get them on the same highway rather than everyone taking backroads to get to the same destination,” he said.

Dents.co has become a CIECA Corporate Member. Jonathan Pyle founded the company in 2020 with the vision to build tools for the collision repair industry that would increase trust between industry stakeholders by providing transparency to the estimating and repair process.

Dents.co’s flagship product is a mobile app designed to measure body panel damage using artificial intelligence (AI) dent detection, paired with geometric algorithms powered by depth data from camera sensors.

“We created the app to help reduce friction negotiating repair times and help repairs get underway more quickly,” said Pyle. “We recognized the need for this additional data while operating shops over the past several years.

He said the increasing trend of remote collaboration between estimators and adjusters begged for the ability to share the scale of the damage with more detail than a photo alone can provide.

Pyle has known about CIECA for many years and was a previous member through the MSO that he and his partners sold early last year.

“We joined CIECA because we believe in its mission and understand the importance of communication standards when developing software for the industry,” he said.

Pyle and his team are excited about CIECA’s work building out API messages. 

“We believe standards are important for the industry because they promote the ability for businesses to utilize their data. Harnessing this data, shops can provide greater customer service, get repairs done quickly, and most importantly, ensure repairs are done safely and correctly for the customer,” he said. “Without standards-based data sharing, these kinds of seamless integrations would not be possible or at the very least would be much more difficult.”
