CIECA Announces Industry Innovation Scholarships

Northbrook, IL – The Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) announced today that it would offer Scholarship Memberships to startup companies and individuals. The scholarships are offered to encourage innovation and standards based software development within the industry.

CIECA Board Chairman Martin Aita of Hertz said, “The scholarship memberships are to encourage startup entrepreneurs to develop new applications for the collision repair industry based on CIECA’s industry standards.”

The Board has authorized an unlimited number of one-year scholarship memberships to all qualified startup companies. Application forms and further details will be found on the CIECA web site at www.cieca.com by the end of August 2006.

About CIECA: CIECA assists the Collision Industry in the effective use of electronic commerce and the National Information Superhighway. It is directed by a Board of Trustees and has offices in Illinois. Its members jointly work on Standards Development Committees (SDC) addressing standards for Electronic Data Interchange, Interoperability, XML and Imaging.
