XML Certification 
CIECA XML Standards Certification
The purpose of the CIECA Certification program is to validate the consistent use of current CIECA standards in the collision repair industry and to ensure that the implementation of the software application’s interchange documents is in compliance with CIECA standards and implementation guidelines. Only CIECA Members are eligible for certification.
CIECA certification ensures your customers, distributors, members, and trading partners that your applications follow CIECA Standards.
Look for the CIECA Certified mark on the products and services that you purchase.
Certification is based on a specific Product/Service Version, not on a calendar year. Therefore, certification, of a specific version of a specific system against a specific Release of the CIECA XML Standards, does not expire.

A new version of a certified system requires re-certification.

A new Release of the CIECA XML Standard requires re-certification.

Certification is not offered for "pilots."

Certification is for Production or Released Products and Services.

Eight (8) Certification Units are included with each CIECA Corporate Membership.

Additional Certification Units may be purchased from CIECA at the rate of $25 for each Certification Unit.

One Certification Unit equates to a product/service/release combination.

A Service is defined by the BMS and represented under the “Service” heading on the CIECA web site page describing the Release Package. The Services are identified by an “@”.

A Product is defined as a specific version of a company’s software offerings.

Each Certification Unit can be processed by the Certification Software a maximum of five (5) times before expiration.
Administrative Process

Complete Certification Application (download pdf application).

Mail application with payment to CIECA. Payment must be received before certification testing will begin. If you are paying using Membership credits, you may fax the form to expedite the process.

Once application and payment have been received, CIECA staff will populate and authorize the Certification Data Base.

The applicant will then receive an email containing an ID and Password to use for the certification testing. Technical processing will then begin.
Technical Processing

Users will log into the Certification System and submit their message online.

Feedback is immediate. You will know if you passed or failed, and why.

All data streams submitted to CIECA must be programmatically generated by the system being certified. Manually created data streams do not qualify for certification.

For submissions that "pass" certification testing, the applicant will have all rights accorded below.
